Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a legal agreement between you and Musa TTS (“Musa TTS”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the Musa TTS desktop application (the “Software”), the website at musatts.com, your account, licenses, and related services (together, the “Services”).

By downloading, installing or using the Software, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use the Services on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a license. Younger users may use the Software only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. The Software

Musa TTS is desktop software that converts text to speech, clones and converts voices, and provides related tools. Generation happens on your own computer. You are responsible for having a compatible device, keeping enough disk space for the Software and any optional models you download, and backing up your own files.

Features, voices, languages and models may change between versions. Some optional components, such as voice-cloning language models, are downloaded separately after installation.

3. Your license

The Software is licensed, not sold. Subject to these Terms and payment of any applicable fees, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on the number of devices allowed by your plan.

You may not, and may not allow anyone else to:

• copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the Software, its voices or its models, except as allowed by applicable open-source licenses;
• reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, except where the law expressly permits it;
• bypass, disable or tamper with license checks, usage limits or device limits;
• share, publish or resell license keys;
• use the Software or its local API to offer a hosted text-to-speech or voice-cloning service to third parties without our written permission.

4. Plans and devices

• Free plan: free of charge with the daily limits shown in the App and on our pricing page. Audio created on the Free plan is for personal, non-commercial use.
• Monthly and yearly plans: unlock Pro features, including a commercial use license, for as long as your subscription is active and paid.
• Lifetime plan: a one-time payment that unlocks Pro features for the lifetime of the Musa TTS product, including updates we release for it. “Lifetime” refers to the life of the product, not of the purchaser. If we ever discontinue the Software, the version you have installed will keep working offline, and we will give at least 90 days’ notice before shutting down license services.
• Devices: each plan allows a set number of activated computers. You can deactivate a computer from your dashboard to move the license to another.

We may change plan features or limits for future purchases. Changes will not reduce what you already paid for during your current billing period, or the core features of a lifetime license.

5. Payments and renewals

• Prices are shown in US dollars and do not include taxes unless stated. Payments are processed by PayPal, and its terms also apply to your payment.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard or PayPal account; access continues until the end of the period you have paid for.
• We will notify you in advance of any price increase for an existing subscription. You may cancel before it takes effect.
• Coupons and referral discounts apply only as described when issued and cannot be combined unless stated.
• If a payment fails or is reversed, we may suspend Pro features until it is resolved.

6. Refunds

Licenses are non-refundable, except in the single case described below.

6.1 When we will refund

If the Software does not work as described on our website because of a defect in the Software itself, and our support team cannot fix the problem or offer a working solution, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your purchase. To qualify, you must contact us at support@musatts.com within that period, describe the problem, and give us a reasonable opportunity to troubleshoot it (for example by sharing error messages or screenshots). If a refund is approved, the license is deactivated.

6.2 When we will not refund

• Your computer does not meet the system requirements, or performs too slowly for your needs (for example limited memory, an older processor, or insufficient disk space).
• Problems caused by your operating system, security software, network restrictions or other software on your device.
• You changed your mind, bought the wrong plan, no longer need the Software, or did not use it.
• Dissatisfaction with how a particular voice, accent or cloned voice sounds — please evaluate voices on the free plan first.
• Subscription renewals you forgot to cancel. You can cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
• Licenses that were suspended or terminated for breaching these Terms.

Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under the mandatory consumer laws that apply to you.

7. Voice cloning rules

Voice cloning and voice conversion are powerful features. When you use Voice Clone, Voice Clone Pro or Audio Clone, you agree that:

• you will only clone or convert into a voice that is your own, or that you have clear, informed permission from the speaker (or their legal representative) to use for your intended purpose;
• you will not use a cloned voice to impersonate a real person in a way that could deceive listeners, including public figures, without their consent;
• you will not use cloned voices for fraud, scams, bypassing voice-based security, harassment, defamation, election interference or non-consensual intimate content;
• where the law or a platform requires it, you will disclose that audio is synthetic or AI-generated.

Because cloning runs on your device, we cannot see what you create — you are solely responsible for complying with these rules and the law.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Services to create or distribute content that is illegal, infringes someone else’s rights, incites violence, promotes hatred, sexually exploits minors, or is designed to mislead people in harmful ways. You also agree not to attack, overload, scrape or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our websites, license servers or other users’ accounts.

9. Your content

You keep all rights in the text you provide and, as between you and us, you own the audio you generate. We claim no ownership of your content and do not receive it, because it is created on your device.

On a paid plan, you may use generated audio for commercial purposes — for example in monetized videos, podcasts, audiobooks, courses, advertising and client work — subject to these Terms. You are responsible for having the rights to any text, voices or recordings you use as input.

Some built-in voices and models are provided by third parties under open-source or similar licenses. Those licenses do not restrict your ownership of the audio you generate.

10. Our intellectual property

The Software, website, brand, logos, documentation and all related intellectual property belong to Musa TTS or its licensors. Except for the license in section 3, these Terms do not give you any rights to them. If you send us feedback or suggestions, we may use them without any obligation to you.

11. Third-party services

The Services may work with third-party services, such as PayPal for payments, Hugging Face for model downloads, and Groq for optional transcription using your own API key. Your use of those services is governed by their terms, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Affiliate program

If you join our affiliate program, the commission rates, cookie duration, payout thresholds and rules shown in your affiliate dashboard also apply. You may not use misleading claims, spam, trademark bidding on our brand, or self-referrals. We may withhold commissions earned through fraud or rule violations.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your license or account if you materially breach these Terms — for example by sharing license keys, circumventing limits or misusing voice cloning — after giving you notice where reasonable. On termination, your right to use Pro features ends; sections 7–10 and 14–19 survive.

14. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI-generated speech can contain mispronunciations, artifacts or errors; you are responsible for reviewing audio before you publish it. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that they will run on every device.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, Musa TTS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US $50 if you have not paid us.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

16. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Musa TTS and its team against claims, damages and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your misuse of the Services — including cloning or using a voice without permission.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally; most concerns can be settled within 30 days. If not, disputes will be resolved by the competent courts of Pakistan. If you are a consumer, you also keep any protections of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and may bring claims in your local courts where those laws allow.

18. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, notify account holders by email or in the App at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after the changes take effect means you accept them.

19. General

These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
